Top 5 Of 2011: 1. Color Club - Fashion Addict!

My favorite polish of the year is... Fashion Addict! from Color Club. I think this was my first holographic nail polish and it is also my most holographic polish at the moment.

Whenever I need to paint my nails quick, 9 out of 10 times this is the polish I grab. It's gorgeous, holographic and goes with a lot of occasions if you ask me. What I also like is that everybody could get away with just 1 even coat. I never get an even coat, so I always wear 2 coats :P

It was hard to capture the true color of Fashion Addict! with my camera. It kept looking like a silver holographic polish. But as you can see it's a pinkish/purplish/ color. The site where I order most of my nail polish has a short description saying: NO HOLO! But I think it definitely is a holo!

This was my Top 5 Of 2011:
5. Color Club - Alias
4. China Glaze - Something Sweet
3. China Glaze - Skyscraper
2. Essence - Blue Addicted
1. Color Club - Fashion Addict!

2 China Glaze's and 2 Color Club's. I think those are 2 of my favorite brands and I can't wait what they bring for 2012!

For now, I want to thank you for reading, for following me on my new blog and I want to thank those who leave a little comment :) This all means a lot to me and I hope you're still here with me in 2012!

When this post will be up I'm probably having an awesome dinner and I'll be just 5 hours away from 2012. I want to wish you all a Happy New Year!

Top 5 Of 2011: 2. Essence - Blue Addicted

Number 2 of my top 5... It's a polish I used to hate, because I once layered it over a wrong color blue. When I once tried it over the right kind of blue, I was sold! Essence's Blue Addicted is on number 2!

I layered Blue Addicted over another Essence polish named Hard To Resist. It matches perfectly with Blue Addicted. Blue Addicted is a sheer blue based jelly polish filled with blue and green hexagon glitters. There are also smaller, but square blue glitters in it.

You may know this already, but Blue Addicted is a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Across The Universe. This Essence polish was only € 1,29 and I believe they are available in America at Ulta for just $ 1,00.

I will post my number 1 polish of the year in a few hours :)

Thanks for reading!

Nail Mail! #1

For my birthday my oldest brother gave me money, because he didn't know what to buy me and he didn't want to buy nail polish. So when I was on Twitter I saw that Enchantra (Dutch online shop) had a sale on Christmas stuff. Soon I ordered some polishes and they came in a HUGE box yesterday.

Sugar Plum and Ruby Deer

Tis The Season Ruby Deer giftbox. Usually € 11,95 and I got it for € 6,00! The two polishes were on sale on their own as well and we're now € 3,50 instead of € 5,95.

Phat Santa, Frosty, Mrs. Claus and Snow

Tis The Season Peppermint Kisses. 4 polishes in a see through candy cane. I wanted Mrs. Claus already, but it was unavailable, so I bought this candy cane. I needed a new white polish anyway and Phat Santa looks like such a gorgeous red! Usually € 22,95 but I bought it for € 11,50.

Victory Nails, Konad Ice Silver and Orly Blue Collar

I also ordered a giftbox with stuff they pick out, so it's a surprise what you'll get. The yellow polish is from Victory Nails or something and is never going to be used. I think I'm gonna throw that out. It smells like paint and there are weird chunky pieces in it...

There also came a baby Orly in it. I got 2 Orly's in this package and this was one of them. I don't have any Orly's yet, so I'm really happy that I got this baby.

They also gave me a little gift I guess. It wasn't in the small Christmas giftbox I ordered. It's a Konad regular polish called Ice Silver. It has OR holographic glitters in it or rainbow glitters. I have to take a closer look ;p

Orly Fowl Play

And my real first Orly polish! Fowl Play. It's so gorgeous! I haven't wore it yet, but I think I need to do a small change on my favorites of 2011... :P Talking about that. Number 2 and 1 will be both posted tomorrow.

Top 5 Of 2011: 3. China Glaze - Skyscraper

The 3rd place is for another China Glaze polish. It's Skyscraper from the Metro collection. I loved this collection so much and this one was definitely my favorite of the bunch.

Sorry for the hair... :P Skyscraper is a sheer blue based glitter polish. It has blue and silver glitters and they really sparkle. Whenever I wear this polish people ask me what polish it is and I love that! xD I got to know China Glaze this year and I really start to love them more than I did in the beginning.

I'm wearing 2 coats of this polish with a coat of Poshé topcoat. It didn't shrink my polish, I should've wrapped my nails. But Skyscraper became a bit thick and goopy, so when I tried to wrap my nails, it would become really ugly. So no wrapping with Skyscraper.

You can guess my question for today; What is number 3 on your top 'x' of this year? :)

Top 5 Of 2011: 4. China Glaze - Something Sweet

Today I have number 4 of my top 5 polishes of 2011. This is China Glaze's Something Sweet. I picked this one, because it's one of my first China Glaze polishes and I wore it a lot this year.

Something Sweet is a pale pink creme polish. I think this color can go with almost everything! I applied it a bit messy, because I got acrylics last week and the girl who did it, didn't do a good job. I filed the top a lot already to get them more even, but they're still not that even. I can't wait to get these things off! :P

Because I wore Something Sweet today I wanted to apply some glitter to make it a bit more exciting. I picked a glitter I never used before, but I'm totally in love with it now! It's ELF's Twinkle.

To me Twinkle is different than other glitters. It's not holograpfic, but it doesn't just have one color of glitter. It  has orange (sometimes yellow) and blue (sometimes green) glitters in it. What I really liked was that it dried pretty fast. Right after I did my nails I kept bumping into things, because my Seché Vite is pretty much almost empty. I did have to put on a top coat, because otherwise it would look a bit washed out.

So what is number 4 on your top 'x' of this year? Let me know! :)

Top 5 Of 2011: 5. Color Club - Alias

For this post I actually have a lot of pictures. A few days ago I got an early birthday present from me and my mom; a new camera! I'm still trying to figure out all the settings, but it does have a super macro option! Ahhh!

This year was my nail polish year. I got more and more into it and I was able to pick 5 polishes that I loved this year.
I'm starting with Color Club's Alias. Alias is gorgeous! It looks like a really glittery purple at once, but it shows more than just that. Green, yellow, orange... Just too awesome! This one needs to be in everybody's nail polish stash.

What is number 5 on your top 'x' of this year? Let me know! :)
