China Glaze - Sun Worshiper

Hello! I hope you all have a great day! Today I'm showing you another swatch from the polishes Jenn got me. This is China Glaze's Sun Worshiper. This one was on my wishlist too, because I thought I might need it someday for something :P On the pictures I'm also wearing a coat of Finger Paints Flashy.

Sun Worshiper, from the Poolside collection, is a bright neon orange/yellow polish. It dries matte and pretty streaky, but with a topcoat you don't see that. I used 3 coats for opacity and I tell you; this was so hard to capture with my camera! But the picture above is almost color accurate.

I think Sun Worshiper is a pretty unique polish and when you have it on your nails it's really out there! It almost looks like it's giving light or something. I think that looks really cool!

Do you have Sun Worshiper or would you ever wear a color like it? Let me know :)

Revlon - Starry Pink

Today I have a lovely polish to show you. The sweet Jenn from AllThatIsGorgeous got me Revlon's Starry Pink! :) Like I mentioned in the nail mail post; All the polishes she got me were from my wishlist, so I'm super happy :) This is the first polish I'm wearing from the package and I can't wait to try more!

Starry Pink is a milky pink based polish with silver small and large hexagon glitters. I expected it to be really sheer and would need at least 4 coats, but 2 coats was enough.

I would actually wear this with a pink polish underneath, just so you would only need one coat of Starry Pink. The glitter is just so much and I hate removing glitter polishes. But glitter polishes are so pretty! :P

I hope to show you some more polishes I got in the swap, because they're gorgeous!

Thanks for reading!

Nail Mail from AllThatIsGorgeous

Hello! Today I received a heavy package in the mail :) I did a swap with Jenn from AllThatIsGorgeous and she got me amazing stuff! She got me a lot of polishes from my wishlist, so I'm excited!

4 China Glaze polishes that I recently ALMOST ordered myself, but because I didn't want to buy to much I threw these out of my shopping basket. Even though it was really hard to throw them out xD

From left to right; Sun Worshiper, Shocking Pink, Lorelei's Tiara and Four Leaf Clover.

Some NYX polishes! They're so gorgeous!

Sea Of Cortez, Buzz Worthy, Robotic, Kinky Pink, Sunday Afternoon and Royal Purple.

Milani's!

Red Sparkle, Digital and Fairy Tail.

And some others;

Finger Paints Flashy, Orly Purple Crush, Revlon Starry Pink and Nicole By O.P.I. Wear Something Spar-Kylie. My first  Nicole By O.P.I. ! I had no idea the bottles had such a weird shape xD

Besides polishes she also got me some other things which I also can't wait to try.

My mom had some favorite polishes. Sun Worshiper, Sea Or Cortez, Royal Purple and Red Sparkle xD

Jenn did such an amazing job! Besides getting me all these awesome things she did an amazing job at wrapping everything :P Every bottle was wrapped in bubble plastic and a little plastic baggy xD I wish I got her more polishes, because I feel like my package doesn't compare to this. Plus 1 of the bottles I send her broke :( Make sure you check out her blog!

I can't wait to try these polishes and show them here :)

Thanks for reading!

I tried me a Jelly Sandwich

Hello! Not too long ago I ordered Nubar's Strawberry from the Jellybean collection. I wanted to get a real jelly polish to try a real Jelly Sandwich.

I must say I didn't find the polish too jelly. It was actually pretty opaque I think. But I think I did manage to make one.

1 coat of Strawberry, 1 coat of Wet 'n Wild Kaleidoscope and another coat of Strawberry. On the pictures you actually see the result better than in real life!

This manicure is looking pretty messy since I only wanted to try it and didn't think I would post it. Mainly because of the ugly middle finger nail and the messed up index... xD

I still want to try more Jelly Sandwiches. I don't really think you need a jelly polish for it. As long as it's a bit sheer. That is just my way of thinking and I might change my opinion after trying xD

Catrice feMALE LE; Swatches

Hello! Today I'm showing you a new LE collection from Catrice. This is the feMALE collection. The collection is focusing on the male dandy look versus feminine elegance.

This first one is A Woman's World. The pictures are far from accurate, but it's a nice coral orange polish. This one is close to Catrice's I Scream Peach!, but a little lighter in color.

Next we have Nude. A brown beige polish. This one was opaque in just 1 coat! I like the shiny version much better than it's own finish. The matte finish makes the polish look a bit dull...

My favorite from the 4; Who Are Blue. A lovely blurple polish. I think that's my first blurple polish. I like both the matte finish and the shiny topcoat finish. This one is similar to the Essence Colour & Go Absolutely Blue, but that one has a shiny finish. 1 coat is okay, but 2 coats is better.

Last but not least we have So Suit! A smokey grey polish. It looks lighter in the bottle than on the nails. Compared to the other 3 this one dries more shiny matte. I don't really like this one, but that's just the season; I'll probably love this one in the Winter.

All the pictures with the original finish were taking approximately 2 minutes after I applied a polish. The shiny version were taken probably right after I applied the topcoat.

I like the collection, but it's not that special. My favorite is Who Are Blue? I don't think Catrice ever had one like it in their standard collection, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Which one is your favorite? :)

Thanks for reading!

Help Wanted!

First of all; I'm really sorry for not posting much. What a bad blogger am I... But, I need help with something.

2 Days ago I found out my comments have been gone for like 8 days. I think there was a combination of things that happened;
- Template I had (similar to ThePolishWell's template)
- Intense Debate comments

I uploaded my old template, but they were still gone. I tried via the Intense Debate site to uninstall, but my Intense Debate widget is gone too. I tried changing my comment settings on Blogger, but still no luck...

If there is anybody out there that could help me or knows who can help me; please contact me at fyeahilovenails@hotmail.com

I really don't want to move my blog AGAIN! (or maybe I could go back to LimitedAddictionNails and change the name if that is possible ;p)

Thanks! :)

China Glaze - Snow Globe (over white)

Hello! Happy weekend everybody! Today I'm showing a manicure I had on my nails before adding the dots for Day 11 of my challenge. 2 coats of China Glaze Snow followed by a coat of Snow Globe that I got in a swap.

I find Snow Globe (I keep typing Glove) a very interesting polish/topcoat. Depending on what color polish you wear it, the colored glitter looks different. Here on white you can see pink, blue, yellow, orange, purple and green. Over black you see more blue and green. Over red you will see more orange and yellow.

The colored glitter reminds me of Easter!

I absolutely loved Snow Globe from the first time I wore it and I am thinking about getting a new one, just because I might run out of this one someday :P

I wish I could post more often, but today the nail on my ringfinger ripped on both sides so I have to wait until I can finally clip it off. I have a few more swatch photo's on my laptop though, so until then I think I will post those :)

Thanks for reading!

Stamping: Pink Zebra

Hello! Today I would like to show you a manicure I wore 2 weeks ago. To be honest it was my first time wearing obvious stamping on my nails (at work).

I'm wearing 3 coats of Blushing Rose from Color Club on a coat of China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat. Blushing Rose is, to me, a perfect baby pink. Probably my favorite pink at the moment! :P Blushing Rose comes from the Blossoming collection.

Over that I stamped with Catrice's Let's Mauve On! [new version] and I used Konad image plate m69. I finished the manicure with a coat of Seche Vite.

31 Day Challenge Recap

Hello! How are you today? :)

As you can see I have a whole new layout again. I hope I can keep it for longer that a week... xD

Anyway, I made a little video for my 31 Day Challenge :)

30 days done in 36 days. I skipped the last day, but I don't mind. In those 36 days I had some easy challenge, but as the challenge went on I noticed I really had to try to do more than just stamping :P Dotting tools, brushes... It wasn't as hard as I expected and I hope to continue using these tools more often :)

I hope you like the video!

Day 30: Inspired By A Tutorial

I feel like this is the last day of this long challenge. We have a day 31, yes, but I don't think that's going to happen :P I'm kinda done with it. BUT, I will do 1 more thing for this challenge though :)

But now for today; There are so many tutorials I wanna try! I came across this one by accident. I was just Google-ing(what?!) something and I saw these nails and I decided that it was going to be my inspiration for today.

It's from this photo tutorial by Chloe's Nails. She used normal tape for it, so I did too. I'm horrible at it! :P My nail polish actually got under the tape! So I did all my nails with the tape first and after that I went over it with the polish brush.

I used 2 coats of Zoya's Dana for the holographic polish I used Fashion Addict! from Color Club and Black from Color Club as well.

You should definitely check hers out, but I think you have already xD

Thanks for reading and sticking with me the past month and a few days :)

Day 29: Inspired By The Supernatural

Today's challenge is weird... I had no idea what to do and it just doesn't seem to fit in the other 'Inspired By...' challenges. But when I think of the supernatural I think of ghosts. So here are my spooky nails! :P

From left to right, meet Awkward Ghost, Just For The Lulz Ghost, Hmm... k Ghost and Henry.

I thought flakies would look nice over them, because usually you'll only see them on black, so it looks kinda glowy ;p I only added them on the 4 gentlemen you see here, not on the black around them. This was Golden Rose Scale Effect #13.

I'm almost finished with this challenge! :D If you know some other fun nail challenges like this, let me know :)

Thanks for reading!

Day 28: Inspired By A Flag

I think you can see what flag inspired me; The British Flag! I've always wanted to visit the U.K. The Netherlands and the U.K. are pretty much neighbors with just a little bit of ocean between us :P

I tried my best with the freehand thing and I'm not that good with it, but it was easier than I expected it to be.

Anyway, I think you're dying to know what polishes I used, so here we go;
2 coats of Hema Nailpolish nr. 08
The white is a white stamping polish and the red is Ruby Deer from China Glaze.

Pink Ombre Drips [Chalkboard Nails contest]

Yes, 2 posts today! ;p You can find my post for the 31 Day Challenge here [inspired by artwork] :)

Chalkboard Nails is having a contest, which closes in a few hours. I already wanted to enter, but I forgot about it... It is a nail art contest and the theme is; The dotting tool. You're only aloud to use a dotting tool and the brush of your polish.

I decided to go for ombre drips. I didn't really know how to make it, so my ring and middle finger are a bit messed up :P

The colors from dark to light;
Etos (A pink LE for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month)
Catrice; Aretha's R•E•S•P•I•N•K
China Glaze; Sugar High
Sinful Colors; Beautiful Girl
Wet 'n Wild; Tickled Pink
The silver base color is 2 coats of What A Drag from Color Club.

Day 27: Inspired By Artwork

Hello! Today is again, really simple. I choose to do Mondrian nails, because it's simple (and I went to a college named like that). I actually wanted to do all my nails, but I didn't feel so well, so ended up with this.

I actually painted all my nails black, except for my thumb. With striping tape I made the lines and filled the blocks in with a dotting tool. Then I took the striping tape off.

My thumb has 2 coats of Catrice Blues Brother Vol. II. My index finger is just Black by Color Club. My middle finger is 1 coat of Black and 2 coats of Ruby Slippers from Color Club and my pinky is a coat of Black and 2 coats of Almost Famous, also from Color Club.

Below my inspiration picture;

Day 26: Inspired By A Pattern

For today I didn't really have anything in mind. Since image plates have some nice patterns I decided to go for Konad image plate m60. I didn't want to have just 1 boring background color, so I made a gradient.

My base color is Catrice Apropos Apricot. From the base of my nail (where my cuticles are) I used the following colors;
Essie; Tart Deco
Catrice; Apropos Apricot
Sinful Colors; Beautiful Girl
China Glaze; Sugar High

Then I went for Golden Rose flakies in number 09. I think it really adds something... ;p As mentioned before I used image plate m60 and I used a white stamping polish. A coat of Seche Vite and manicure finished! Super simple :)

Day 25: Inspired By Fashion

Day 25! If I didn't take a little break I would've been done yesterday ;p Anyway, fashion. I'm not into fashion at all! It's just not my thing. But I did know what I wanted to do for today's nails.

Ever since I saw Lady Gaga's Bad Romance video there was an outfit I kinda liked. Not for me or any other person, but I liked it. Near the end of the video she's wearing a red outfit with lace in it. That inspired me for these nails.

For my base color I used 3 coats of Color Club Coastal Creme and for my stamping I used a red stamping polish. I used Konad image plates m57 and m65.

On my thumb I used 2 coats of China Glaze Snow and painted the cross on with a brush. Just a little inspiration from the video ;p

I must say that also today I'm pretty happy with the end result :) I hope you liked it too!

Thanks for reading!

Day 24: Inspired By A Book

Can you see what book inspired me? The Rainbow Fish! I have no idea what the book was about; it's too long ago. But when I decided to do Rainbow Fish nails I remembered when I was like 7 we had to make the Rainbow Fish out of pieces of fabric. It was so much fun! I only put glue on the beginning of the fabric, so the pieces would hang loose on my paper. Oh, I was so creative! :P

I had no idea where to begin with these nails, so this tutorial helped me :)

A list of colors that I used;
Color Club; What A Drag!
Catrice; The Pinky And The Brain
Catrice; Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy!
Catrice; Pool Party At Night
China Glaze; For Audrey
Miss Sporty Clubbing Colours; 328
Golden Rose Scale Effect; 04

I hope you liked it! :)

Day 23: Inspired By A Movie

I love movies, but I had no idea what to do for today. At first I wanted to go for Confessions Of A Shopaholic, but then I had to watch the movie while I wasn't really in a movie mood.

Another movie I just love is Madagascar. My dad bought me the first movie a few years ago for my birthday (I think I turned 16!) I wasn't really too happy with that; a stupid cartoon movie... But I loved it! Now that I'm 21 I can still get really excited when I see the movie :P

The penguins in the movie are too hilarious. That's why I wanted to create them on my nails. It was easier than I expected it to be and I like that I actually see penguins on my nails :P

Base coat: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
Base color: China Glaze - Seashell
Black: Color Club - Black
White: China Glaze - Snow
Orange: Essie - Tart Deco
Top coat: Seche Vite

I hope you liked it!

Thanks for reading!
